I own three different styles of Danskos and all fit differently so I ordered both a 38 and 39 as I normally wear a 7.5. I ended up with the 39. At first the top of the shoe was tight across the top of my left foot even when wearing a trouser sock. The point of contact felt like a pin prick but I discovered that it was tight across a nerve and was relieved the minute I took off the shoe. A band aid place between contact points helped. They have since stretched out and do not cause this feeling any longer. I bought these shoes for a 6-day working event where I would be on my feet for 14 plus hours daily. This shoe alone did not provide enough comfort for this event but I wonder if there is anything that can protect and cushion your foot for this duration. I do like this shoe and have worn them with dress pants when I know I'll be on my feet for a long period of time. They are a bit clunky looking but I love the shock absorbing sole. Veda shoes could be better by adding the side elastic as found in other similar styles as well as extending the length of the top of the shoe so that more of one's foot can be inserted into the shoe avoiding the pin prick feeling. I also like that the insert is removable and can be replace with Dr. Scholl's inserts if needed.

My First Danskos...and definitely not my last! I got these today; I ordered them yesterday! Zappos rocks when it comes to fast shipping and customer service. These were my first and I have already ordered another pair in black. I was looking for a shoe with excellent support that could withstand a day of walking and not leave me with achy feet and legs. After a day of walking in these, I am ready for more! I am a size 7 (somewhere between medium and wide) and 37 was perfect for me. There was no breaking in whatsoever, they look great (my feet actually look smaller while wearing these), and are even more comfortable than my sneakers.

Beautiful Leather Embossing - The embossing on these is beautiful. They look more expensive than they are. I love these shoes, they are just right for my job in a professional office. The reason I only gave them a three on comfort is because they have this little area at the back of the shoe that is quite rough and I had to get some inserts to cover this area that constantly scratched my heel. I love the full toe box, it keeps my little piggies happy! I ordered my usual size.

Love 'em! I bought these shoes last summer for a bartending job. Everyone else is always complaining about their feet at the end of the night, but I never do. The arch support is superb, the sole is actually a thick rubber material, so when walking impact is reduced, unlike reg. wood bottom clogs, but because they are clogs w/ the rocker toe there's little stress to toe joints. I think my pair is last year's model, since the toe box doesn't turn up. The newer ones are cuter, in my opinion, and I plan on buying another pair. The ones I have get all yucky from work and they're so comfy that I wear them around the house because my feet are happier than if I was walking around barefoot. I'm not sure what style yet... hmm... maybe Marcelle. If you know your size in European sizes it's helpful. I wear a 9.5/10 and in EU sizes I usually wear a sz 41.5. Since these only come in full sizes I had to get 42, but I make them fit by wearing a gel sole and thicker socks. So, with all that cushion AND the great shoe makes these a hard act to follow.
