I love these boots! Remember when you were little and you loved a new pair of shoes or an outfit so much you wanted to sleep in them? These shoes are that great. They're comfortable and gorgeous - I'm talking about the Cordovan Patent, which is really not patent at all, just smooth and shiny. They go with everything from casual to casual business casual. I am a size 8/8.5 and got the 39s - which is what my European size has always been anyway. The *only* bad thing is that from about day 2 to 4 of wearing them (I've worn them constantly since I got them), I had a terrible pain on the top of my left foot - that bone that kind of sticks up as you run your finger along the bone that eventually becomes your big toe. But I stretched out the leather just a bit by hand, and kept wearing the shoes, and now there's no pain at all. I've wanted these shoes forever and now I want them in every color. Oh, and Zappos is the best, that goes without saying.
These shoes are made for walking - My feet never seem to get tired in these shoes. I feel like I could walk for ever in them. I ordered the wrong size. had no problem with the exchange. I find Dansko to be a great company to deal with. I would order from them again. I found the shoes cheaper on an other web site. No problem Rhianna beat there price.
Happy as a Dane - I bought a pair for my wife. She's 7 1/2 so I got the 38 which was what was recommended. She said they felt great... but wasn't crazy about the color which was burgundy. I tried to expand her color horizons a little... but after pouting a while I told her no problem. They have free exchanges and you can get black just like all the other shoes in your closet. Now she loves them!
